Beardsley Zoo CT

We took our annual trip to the CT Zoo. The peacocks were fun to watch running around.

It was pretty sad .. . . they didn't have very many animals and those we did see we in small cages.
The crocodiles we smiling . . . . .
We did see the biggest cow in the world . . . WOW!
They also had an English farm . . . . . why??
And back to the beautiful peacocks
They did have a few beautiful bushes and trees
We decided that they need to either turn the zoo into a working farm or give it up and set the animals free in their own environment of course. We look forward to visiting the Bronx Zoo soon to see what they have. Disappointing but good to be together.

Rocking Horse Ranch NY

We joined the Washburn family on their adventures at Rocking Horse Ranch. It began with a pie eating contest with Catherine being the lady and not sticking her face in the pie. Next we quickly got into bathing suits to enjoy the indoor pools and slides . . watch out for Daniel

"That was great! I need to do it again." My turn . . . . The boys enjoy rock climbing together. Sean did have the harder side. Sean, Breann and I tried our hand at tennis . . . . I am much better on the Wii (and so are they).
April was a little nervous at first with the bungee jumping . . . but soon she was doing flips.
Daniel got right to the flips
After watching the boys rock climb I thought no problem . . . . that was as far as I got. I just can't handle heights anymore.
Daniel and I spent some time paddle boating and

Breann and Kamberlynne being silly
I do have cute children . . . they are wonderful!
Our good buddies the Washburns enjoying some campfire time
Hugs and marshmallows are the best
More time in the pool

Getting ready for horseback riding.

Daniel just chillin'
The next major leaguer
Back to the pools again . . . cute little Ellie

To finish it off we enjoyed some Karaoke from April

Tubing

You just can't keep Texas kids out of the water. Wherever they can find it they will be in it. This beautiful river is right in our yard. The kids had a great idea to get some tubes and tube down river. Breann even enjoyed tubing

Daniel's lovin' it

Watch out for the rocks

April was a little nervous but she had fun

Our First Family New York Experience

Our first stop of course was the American Girl Doll Store. What a fabulous girl wonderland. Could I have them all?

Next stop . . . FAO Shwartz. Another very fun place. "April what house did he say you belong in?"

The Nimbus 2000 would be quite the sweet ride.

See if you can play the piano with your feet.

No-way . . . a Lego Chewbacca
