Summer Ball

Sean had an interesting summer playing ball in Connecticut.
As a parent I had an interesting time watching the lack of
respect for coaches, parents or anyone playing.
Sean played well and was a good sport but is greatly looking
forward to spring baseball in Texas.
Yes, we will be sending him to Texas so he can play with his
team one last time before mission and college.

Spring Baseball with Daniel

We had a little bit of an adjustment to CT's rules for baseball . . . . no score keeping and no stealing bases . . . . what?

Perfect hit for Daniel

This is how April likes to enjoy CT baseball . . .
near the stream.

Backyard Beauty

Loving the beauty right out our back door.

This beautiful Hawk landed while we were trying to watch conference this spring. We just had to go out and snap a few pictures.

This Hawk actually hung around all summer hunting the little creatures in our backyard.

How about this lovely vibrantly colored Cardinal?

. . . and of course the deer came to visit as well. We saw them just about every evening at dinner time which drove Indy and Breann crazy.

Beardsley Zoo CT

We took our annual trip to the CT Zoo. The peacocks were fun to watch running around.

It was pretty sad .. . . they didn't have very many animals and those we did see we in small cages.
The crocodiles we smiling . . . . .
We did see the biggest cow in the world . . . WOW!
They also had an English farm . . . . . why??
And back to the beautiful peacocks
They did have a few beautiful bushes and trees
We decided that they need to either turn the zoo into a working farm or give it up and set the animals free in their own environment of course. We look forward to visiting the Bronx Zoo soon to see what they have. Disappointing but good to be together.
